Shaping the Future of Dental Education III:
Oral Health from a Global Perspective
Brescia, Italy
25-27 April 2019
Dr Lily T. García
Chair, ADEA IWLC and ADEA/ADEE
Shaping the Future of Dental Education III Planning Committees
Building on the foundations set forth in London 2017, ADEE and ADEA move forward together for Shaping the Future of Dental Education III.
As many experienced synergies focused on four pillars related to dental education, Shaping the Future of Dental Education III will delve into best practices in assessment, interprofessional education, emerging science and technology, and global networks as applied to Oral Health from a Global Perspective. The four learning platforms allow dental educators from around the world to engage in a meaningful manner.
The expertise, professional discussion and discourse will only add to our capacity as faculty, in order to enhance the higher education environments for our students and colleagues, alike.
I look forward to meeting you all next April at the University of Brescia, Italy for Shaping the Future of Dental Education III.
Prof Corrado PaganelliDean Dental School University of Brescia
Chair the Board of IFDEA
As Dean of the Dental School at the Universita Degli Studi Di Brescia, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our small but highly active and passionate dental school, hosted within the larger Faculty of Medicine in Brescia.
The School and University are honoured to be host to ADEE and ADEA on two key conference themes which closely align with the strategic focus of our own university, namely Gender Equality and inclusion as well as the focus on a mobile global medical practitioner.
My colleagues based here in Brescia join me in wishing you a successful meeting and we hope you take some time to explore all our small but culturally rich region has to offer. If you need some guidance or tips on what to do just ask, we will gladly point you to some of our favourite locations and things to do in Brescia and its surrounds.
I am particularly proud also of the efforts made to facilitate collaboration in this meeting for delegates who otherwise would be unable to attend. A bursary fund made available by IFDEA for low to middle income applicants, recording and sharing of key sessions and an open access being granted to all final outcomes, means this meeting is truly about collegiality and the advancement of dental education throughout the world.
I look forward to meeting you all in April.
